Horseshoe takes a look at small town life where everyone knows everyone, and they are in everyone's business. Each chapter is it's own story about the people of the town, with many of the characters overlapping. I loved how each story sucked you in only to make you want more. It reminded me of my own small hometown. It is a must read!!
What a fun read! The characters of Horseshoe are anything but ordinary. I enjoyed the story-in-novel style of the book, which made reading it move quickly, although I was sad when I finished it. I wanted more! I look forward to reading more of Torgerson's work in the future.
This book was great..Very interesting and didn't want to put it down when you started it..Read in 2 days..Very good reading..
The method of using short stories and using characters who were central to the location was very unique and interesting. Characters are introduced and appear in subsequent stories which lends continuity to the novel. The small town undercurrents and relationships are explained well.Horseshoe
Horseshoe was a fun read. For people who live in a Horseshoe-type town, it is even more fun. It is obvious that the author has a great depth of understanding of life in a small town and the rich cast of characters who reside there.
